Time Flies
Apr. 14th, 2013 07:09 pmBeen that long, has it? Wow. All I can say is, it's been a busy spring.
I've been taking more photos, intending to share them. Here are some I took yesterday around Albuquerque.
We heard about the blue tree project on the news, and went to see. This is an art project by Konstantin Dimopoulos, happening all over, with the intent to raise awareness of trees and their importance in our world. Here's a shot I took at Albuquerque's Tingley Beach:
As we were leaving, we met a roadrunner in the parking lot looking for handouts. We had no lizards, alas.
We moved on to the Botannic Gardens to see what was blooming. There was a wedding in the wedding garden, so I couldn't take any photos of the wisterias. I may try again this week; they are blooming, though already leafed out.
We kind of missed our timing. The daffodils were pretty much done, and the iris weren't blooming yet, but there were some nice tulips around, and the Japanese garden is always lovely no matter what the time of year. I liked this bridge:

What's nice is that even though the place was crawling with people, I was able to get these shots without getting photobombed.
The koi were thriving, and this goose was competing with them, begging for bread crumbs,
