I take the plunge.
Jan. 23rd, 2005 09:43 pmTo blog or not to blog.
For a long time I debated it. My time goes to writing first and foremost, and while the idea of blogging is intriguing, I am Jealous of my writing time, for I know it is all too easy to let other activities Encroach.
What decided me was the realization that a blog is like a Comonplace Book, a concept I've always liked. I've kept comonplace books from time to time. I've also misplaced them quite often, so that there is no consistency in them, but that is part of their charm. Hence, I'm starting a new comonplace book, one that won't be quite so easy to lose. It will contain all the randoms bits that once went into my physical comonplace books. You, dear reader, are duly warned.
I will post as often as I have both the time and something of interest to record. We'll have to see how often that winds up being. Writing comes first, so I will not post to this book until my daily work is done.
Today, six pages on the WIP, which is good, and I broke the lid of my teapot, which is not so good. Why is it that teapots have lids that are not interchangeable? I own two other pots, but neither lid will fit the little pot in which I make my daily tea. Faugh.
The lid from a covered tea mug more or less fits. It will have to do for now.
