This morning my DH and I planted a tree in his mother's honor. It's a lovely young Eastern Redbud. Since this is a Comonplace Book, I paste in the tag to help me remember how to care for it.
The tree is in the front yard, just outside our bedroom window. We'll see it every time we come home. That's a nice way to remember a beloved mother.
I also planted a couple of raspberry bushes, and visited some of the outlying aspen trees - two that I hadn't visited yet this spring. They're both alive (yay!) and budding out. I gave them a drink.
Daffodils blooming also. Yesterday we attended the first birthday party of my DH's great-nephew. Life goes on.
Haven't written yet today. Expect to log 2 pages. (I did.)
